On the 7th night of the month of Safar 1444 A.H, the Kadhimain Holy Courtyard witnessed the raising of a black banner above the Murad Gate in the name of Imam Hasan Mujtaba (AS), which was gifted to the Holy Shrine from the Secretariat General of Abbas (P) Holy Shrine.
The ceremony was attended by the KHS Secretary General Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, members of the board of directors, a number of the KHS servants, and the visitors of Imamain Kadhimain (AS).
The ceremony was started with reciting verses from the Holy Quran. Then, the Secretary-General delivered a speech on the event and said: “Tonight, we raise the banner of Imam Hasan Al-Mujtaba (AS) concurrently with raising it in the other holy shrines. The Kadhimain Holy Shrine has always been eager to commemorate these rituals, where in the previous years, on the anniversary of Imam Hassan's (AS) birth, banners were raised in Hilla city, believing that it was important to bring attention to these events and pay homage to Imam Hassan's legacy wherever it was possible.”
“Today, we remember the martyrdom of this oppressed and poisoned Imam”, he continued “We are talking about the Master of the youth of the people of Paradise, one of the two from whom the descendants of the Messenger of Allah bounded, one of the four who were with the Holy Prophet on the “Event of Mubahala”, one of the five infallibles of Kesaa, and He is the fragrant flower of the Messenger of Allah”.
The KHS Secretary-General also pointed out that Kadhimain holy shrine calls on to commemorate the occasions of the infallible Imams and raise their banners concurrently at all other holy shrines.”
The ceremony was concluded with some elegies recited by Mulla Karrar Al-Kadhimi on the sad occasion and reciting Ziyarat of Imam Hasan Mujtaba (AS).
