Stemming from the sermon of Lady Zainab (SA) at the court of Yazid, when she said: “By Allah, neither will you be able to erase our memory [from the people’s minds] nor can you destroy our revelation, nor can you reach our status”.
As is customary each year, the 20th of Safar morning, the Kadhimain Holy Courtyard witnessed the annual ceremony of reciting the Arbaeen story.
The mourning program started with reciting some verses of Holy Quran, then his eminence Sheikh Ja’far Al-Wa’ily started the recitation of the whole story of the return of the Hussaini convoy, and the tribulations that befell the family of the Prophet (SAAWA), and severe tragedies that they experienced while they were in captivity. The Sheikh also underlined the role of Imam Zain-ul-Aabidin (AS) during those tribulations, who shouldered the same responsibility of upholding the word of truth and rejecting falsehood represented by the oppressors who did not observe the sanctity of Ahlulbayt (AS).
On this painful occasion which has shaken the world’s conscience ever since, the mourning Majlis was concluded by reciting some verses of eulogy by Mulla Sadiq Al-Ansari.
