KHS Cleanliness Section exerts exceptional efforts on Arbaeen Anniversary


In advance of the Arbaeen Anniversary of Imam Hussain (AS), the Cleanliness Section has mobilized all of its staff for extensive cleaning and maintenance campaigns.
In order to be acquainted with these activities, our website interviewed Mr. Muhannad A. Mohammad, Head of Cleanliness Section. He said: “we were keen to adhere to the instructions of the KHS Secretary General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, by preparing and spreading the hygiene teams in accordance with an organizational plan, and implementing cleaning campaigns for the Holy Shrine’s Courtyards, washing and preparing carpets, maintaining and renovation for the lavatories and sanitary facilities inside and outside the holy Courtyard, and supplying it with different kinds of sanitizers and sterilizers, as well as delivering garbage to the designated places.
"The service program for this year”, he continued, “included the set-up of (90) new air coolers, (250) various sizes recycling bins that were placed in the visitors’ rest places, (30) ablution stations, and covering 7000 m2 of the holy courtyards with carpets.
Maintenance efforts also have been made on the drinking water (RO) systems, and huge amounts of disposable plastic water cans have been produced.
The KHS Secretariat General also calls the honorable visitors and service processions for cooperation to maintain public cleanliness, stressing the importance of only disposing of waste and food leftovers in designated places.
