The Kadhimain Holy Courtyard witnessed the annual ceremonies of replacing the flags of the two domes of Imamain Kadhimain by two black ones to announce the start of mourning days for the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his family and companions.
The ceremony was attended by the KHS Secretary-General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, Board members, His Eminence Sheikh Hussein Aal-Yaseen, the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority in Kadhimiya, a number of official and prominent social personalities, Holy Kadhimiya Mawakibs besides the KHS servants and masses of visitors.
The ceremony started with reciting verses of the Holy Quran, followed by the speech of the Supreme Religious Authority delivered by Sheikh Hussein Aal-Yaseen, and the speech of the KHS Secretariat General delivered by Mr. Secretary General.
The Holy Kadhimiya Mawakeb also took part in the ceremony with some poems of eulogy.
The activities also included a poem recited by the poet Zaid Al-Salami, while the ceremonies were concluded by replacing the flags and mourning Majlis by Mulla Karrar Al-Kadhimi.
